Wii are in an Endless Ocean

New Wii Learning Event! A revolutionary new learning experience has just been launched at Newcastle City Learning Centre. Newcastle city Learning Centre has just invested in a small number of Nintendo Wii's and versions of the interactive game "Endless Ocean" Endless ocean involves children contolling a diver enabling pupils to explore the ocean and providing the opportunity to discover fish and creatures in the underwater world. This initiative was developed and tested in scotland first where "Teachers are reporting that by using such interactive games as Endless ocean, pupil'smotivation, attendance, personal skills and academic performance have improved, particularily amoung young boys and hard-to-reach children".

Wii Love maths

New for 2009/2010 - Students practice their math skills with these fun and challenging activities. There are Kinetic activities as well as PC online puzzles during this Curriculum Day. Concepts include basic Math operations, Percentages, Shape and Space as well as Probability.


Students take part in a Wii bowling task, using the maths and formula related with calculating bowling scores.


Along with the bowling task students also take part in a probability task rolling large foam dice as well as working on the interactive website "Crystal ICT".
