Multiple day projects
3 Day Project - “Creativity in the Classroom!” (Primary/Secondary)
This 3 Day Project can be tailored to any area of the National Curriculum.
Day 1 - Students will gain knowledge and understanding in the use of CS3 Photoshop to manipulate images in various formats.
Day 2 - Students will create an audio piece using the TV studio and small microphones. Audio can be used to record individual interviews of peers or perhaps commentary from students delivering a podcast. The second part of the session is dedicated to 2D animation. CrazyTalk5 interfaces facial animation with revolutionary real-time puppeteering empowering pupils with command performance over character facial expressions. Make anything come to life with this amazing software.
Day 3 - See your students learn skills in the production of a web site/page. This will include all content and expertise gained over the 3 day programme using industry standard software.
5 Day Project - “Science in the City” (Secondary)
A flexible project for schools to carry out a cross-curricular project with the main learning focus on Environmental Science and ICT.
The aim of the project is for students to produce content for a website that will educate staff and students within their school, and the wider community about scientific issues. Students will make informed decisions on a problem and carry out tests, analyse their results and provide explainations on how some factors can be linked together. They will then prove or disprove each of the hypotheses prior to completing any fieldwork.
Students will review the results and draw conclusions as to what they think should be carried out in the future to combat the effects of their scientific conclusions. A good example could be concerns over ‘Global Warming’. However, the topic is flexible to meet with individual school requirements. So come along and discuss your ideas with the CLC team.
2 Day Project - “Games - DESIGNit BUILDit FIDGit” (Primary/Secondary)
What makes a game product stand out on a crowded shelf? What makes it attract the eye, excite, inform, and appeal, motivating customers to buy?
In this two day project, students will design a game using Mission Maker. Students will also learn the art and craft of DVD package design using Photoshop CS3.
Mission Maker lets students rapidly create visually 3D rich worlds for first-person ‘Missions’ - complete with sets, animated characters, dialogue and music. Students can:
• Select elements from an extensive object library to create a unique game world
• Interact with 3D characters
• Import their own music, graphics and video
• Set rules for game play
