Digital Storytelling
Let students experience narration and story telling with the multi-award winning Kar2ouche, allowing students to compose role-plays, storyboards and animations on a variety of subject across the curriculum. Each title comes with a themed library of resources including; characters, sounds, backgrounds and props. This software encourages imaginative self-expression whilst bringing student’s creative writing to life.
Animated Story
Crazy Talk allows students to see their scripts recited by a digital talking image. Using a selected photo combined with a recorded voice message or read back text, narrative opportunities are endless. Tell a story or write a campaign on a subject of your choice.
Radiowaves / Podcasting
Newcastle City Learning staff are delighted with the excellent and inspiring stories which are being produced daily by our radio stations within Newcastle schools. The volume and standard of programmes being produced is superb, so well done! Students have the opportunity to write their own topics which will be broadcast to a global audience. Students master the basic skills at the CLC and apply the skills to enable broadcasting from their own school. Students can then create their own ‘personalised’ radio station.
